ABOUT
Gwangjang Jokbal Bonga is a casual Korean jokbal restaurant right by Seongsu Station, serving warm braised pig's feet with a selection of Korean side dishes. The restaurant is located on Achasan-ro, making it an easy stop for visitors exploring Seongsu. Its menu is centered on jokbal, with cold spicy noodles, mung bean pancakes and simple Korean soups available as additional dishes. The jokbal is served warm and cut into thick slices, with the meat described by visitors as tender and chewy rather than overly sweet or heavily seasoned. The restaurant has a casual neighborhood atmosphere, with indoor seating and several outdoor tables. It is particularly suited to groups sharing a large plate of jokbal, although the small portion makes it possible for a smaller group to order without committing to the largest size.
WHAT LOCALS SAY
The most consistent comments are about the tender texture of the pork and the relatively mild sweetness. One recurring description is that the meat is soft and chewy without a strong medicinal or pork smell. Visitors also mention that the jokbal is served warm, which gives the skin a particularly pleasant texture. The cold spicy noodles with vegetables (쟁반국수) are frequently ordered alongside the jokbal. Reviews mention a generous portion, making it useful when several people are sharing a table. Fresh chive salad and other side dishes also receive positive comments in visitor reviews. This is more of a local neighborhood restaurant than a polished destination restaurant. It can become busy around meal times, and recent visitor content mentions waiting during the evening. The outdoor tables also contribute to the casual Seongsu atmosphere, especially when groups come for jokbal and drinks after work.

Jokbal is designed to be shared. For two people, a medium portion is generally the practical starting point; larger groups can choose the large or extra-large size. If you are visiting as a solo traveler, the regular jokbal sizes may be more food than you need, so the smaller portion or another individual menu is worth asking about. The restaurant also offers takeout. Order 쟁반국수 (spicy cold noodles with vegetables) if you are sharing the jokbal. The cool, tangy and spicy noodles provide a useful contrast to the rich pork. You can also wrap slices of jokbal in lettuce or perilla leaves with garlic, chili and ssamjang, using the side dishes to vary each bite. The restaurant is extremely close to Seongsu Station, but dedicated parking is not available, so public transportation is easier.
