Jincheong Yujeom

Jincheongyujeom is a contemporary Korean restaurant in Yeonnam-dong with an unusual connection to a traditional Korean oil mill. The restaurant makes its own sesame oil and perilla oil, using them throughout the menu. Rather than focusing on heavy or highly seasoned dishes, the menu highlights the aroma of freshly pressed oils through dishes such as perilla oil makguksu, beef gangdoenjang ssambap and seasonal bibimbap. The menu combines familiar Korean dishes with more creative combinations. You can order a simple one-person meal such as ssambap, bibimbap or yangji-gomtang, or try dishes such as grilled mackerel with fernbrake risotto and yukhoe with seaweed rice rolls. Most individual dishes are in the ₩10,000–₩20,000 range, making it relatively accessible for a meal in the Yeonnam-dong area.
